  1. My wife sent this to her sister and husband in Des Moines, with the caption (which I supplied), “To Joan and Rodger, a real fun couple.”

    It broke them up to see it; she took it to the office and showed it around. Everyone loved it.

    We’ve looked for Victoria Roberts’ cartoons in the New Yorker ever since!
