This photo of members of the Seattle Tubing Society in full float made us WANT to be invited to a tubing party. If we were near a river or lake, we’d give one ourselves…What could be more delightful than lazily bobbing along with friends on a warm summer day? It seems that tubing parties were quite a thing in the forties and fifties…
…dig this flotilla of happy souls…

…we love this clever table around which to play cards and sip wine…

…wonder what tune she’s playing…

We went tubing on the Esopus River in the Catskills a few summers back. The river was running “fast,” as they say. I loved the rush and thrill of bouncing over rocks and trying to steer clear of rough patches. And getting soaked. My friends were less than excited about the trip. Call me anytime to go tubing!
