Our friend Virginia del Giudice recently sent us another of her wonderful teeny gifts: a little colorfully wrapped bonbon of some sort. Only an inch across, it is an example of the power that even small gift can have in making the recipient feel appreciated, considered, cared for.
We wondered what was in the mysterious cloth wrapping as we carefully opened it…

Inside, was a hand rolled ball of Chinese tea. We knew it would make a whole pot, unfurling to look like a flower…Perfect. That little ball would provide a wonderful experience: a lesson in how something that costs only a few dollars can pack a powerful wollop.

The brilliant wrapping was little more than a scrap of striped cloth…

…we could do that ourself with scraps of cloth or even ribbon…

…the giftee has to unfurl a lot of ribbon to find what’s hidden inside…. (:

…more inspiration for wrapping teeny gifts in a way that gives them mystery, charm and curious power…
