We love this strange little gif of a cone of yarn being sliced with a utility knife: a simple counter-intuitive act unleashes a burst of unexpected plumage. Textile designer Stine Linnemann had some old cones of yarn lying around her studio and wondered “What would happen if …I sliced them straight across?”
The result is not simply a wondrous surprise but and an experience of yarn’s possibilities that might find a purpose in the future.
