What do you do when you’ve got a parquet or hardwood floor with patches that are broken or in generally terrible repair? We found a surprising solution via artist Mathias Kiss’ installation Banquise: replace wood rectangles or slats with tile.
You don’t have to just stick with rectangles. Paola Navone made a fabulous patch using smallish polygons, so beautiful, you might want to plan to do this.
We’ve found a trove on Elmo Yang’s Pinterest.

Lots of possibilities here.
Greetings from Los angeles! I’m bored at work so I
decided to browse your site on my iphone during lunch break.
I really like the info you present here and can’t wait to take a
look when I get home. I’m shocked at how quick your blog loaded
on my phone .. I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G ..
Anyways, amazing site!
I do not even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was great.
I do not know who you are but definitely you
are going to a famous blogger if you aren’t already 😉 Cheers!
