Where Do Ideas Come From? is a video by Andrew Norton that features vastly different answers to the question from some seriously creative people, from David Lynch, Susan Orlean and Chuck Close to a couple of kids. Seeing so many unique views of the creative process is at once liberating and inspiring. (Video link here.)

We find its essential message to be a lovely way to start the week:

Ideas and inspiration are everywhere, in the world and inside of us. We just have to notice them.

From more on this mysterious subject plays it in the wold of innovation and invention, I highly recommend Steven Berlin Johnson’s Where Good Ideas Come From: The Natural History of Innovation. It is one of those books that you can open ANYWHERE and find something inspiring and useable in your creative life.
