The best eight bucks I’ve spent lately was for OXO’s Good Grips Jar Spatula, a narrow, oddly-shaped spatula I bought to scrape out the contents of the craggy Vitamix container. The silicone spatula is meant for reaching into jars but great for anything that involves stirring, scooping, flipping, pushing, scraping. It feels so great in my hand — perfect weight, size, balance, material — that I find myself using it instead of bigger spatulas and wooden spoons. Slightly curved, it serves as a tasting spoon as well.

I use it daily. (It makes a fine little gift…to self.)
