We’ve watched this small, beautiful gem from Francis Alys several times during the past week, amazed by how such a seemingly simple little video can have such power.

Alys created the animation from pencil drawings he made over several years. His quiet voice repeats “What’s done can’t be undone…”: a plain song that becomes a meditation… and then a poem.
